Visiting the Beaches

First things first, Nobscusset Harbor isn't what you'd expect from a standard port because it doesn't offer boat access. Instead, the harbor is made up of a small bay with a couple of beautiful beaches, and that's more than enough to keep you occupied when living here.

The larger of the two sandy areas is Corporation Beach, a popular summertime retreat with a large parking lot, a busy concession stand, and a small playground.

Corporation Beach has a rock jetty that provides one of the nicest places to take in a sunset on the Cape and shallow, calm waters that are perfect for families looking to spend a day in the sun.

As a resident, you can grab a beach parking sticker for $50 per year while keeping in mind that non-residents are permitted to park at Corporation Beach, as well.

For the most part, the only recreational facilities near Nobscusset Harbor are the beaches. However, there are a couple of baseball diamonds on Seaside Avenue near Corporation Beach that you might use from time to time. The primary diamond, Charles W. Tripp Field, has bleaches, fences, and parking, although it's a little rustic.

The other diamond only has a backstop and a couple of benches, but it's still a large field for the kids to play or for a group of friends to have an impromptu game of baseball or softball.

Walking to the Restaurants

As was mentioned above, the residential neighborhood near Nobscusset Harbor is within walking distance of Main Street in Dennis Village. That's good news for residents because it puts them within walking distance of that area's retail and dining scene.

Dining options in the area include The Pheasant, which serves American cuisine with a French twist, Fin, which features sustainably sourced seafood, and the Scargo Cafe, a trendy restaurant set in an old Colonial house.

Main Street also has a bakery, a couple of home decor shops, a library, a post office, and a few more restaurants.

If you're searching for something to do in the evening, the Cape Cinema and The Cape Playhouse are both in this area and remain two of the most popular choices for Cape residents. You can check out the Cape Cod Museum of Art, too, which has both permanent and rotating exhibits featuring local artists.
