Radio Stations For Your Cape Cod Commute

Buying a home on Cape Cod means having unlimited access to one of the country's most scenic locations. Here, you can spend your summer days lounging on the beach, exploring nature, or fishing one of the region's countless waterways.

However, there's a good chance that you'll still have to work after relocating to this part of the world, which could involve commuting between two of the Cape's towns or even heading to an off-Cape office.

Fortunately, you'll have multiple radio stations to tune into on your drive. No matter what type of music you enjoy, there's something for you on Cape Cod.

Here's a look at some of the region's most popular radio stations and where you can find them on your dial.

WHYA Y101 FM

Y101 is the Cape's most popular station among young adults aged 18-34. You'll find this pop station at 101.1 and can expect to hear the music of younger artists like Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, and Bruno Mars.

Y101 also features The Elvis Duran Morning Show, perhaps the Cape's best-known radio show, every weekday. If you're dropping your kids off at school or you appreciate modern pop music, you're sure to tune into Y101 at various times.

WFRQ Frank-FM

For the more mature listener, Frank-FM is Cape Cod's premier greatest hits station. Here, you'll find the best music of the 80s, including songs by Billy Joel, The Police, Michael Jackson, and Whitney Houston.

The best thing about Frank-FM is that you can tune in at multiple frequencies, including 93.5, 93.9, and 107.9, depending on your location on Cape Cod, so you never have to worry about poor reception. The New Frank Morning Show, featuring Doug and Mina, is here to make your commute more enjoyable, too.

WPXC Pixy 103

Those who like to rock out on their commute can tune in at 102.9 and find Pixy 103. This station focuses on classic rock like Aerosmith, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, and AC/DC, but you'll also find newer acts like the Foo Fighters and Seether.

The station's morning show, Free Beer and Hot Wings, provides an enjoyable start to the day on your way to work, as well.

WKFY Koffee FM

Koffee FM is the Cape's most popular easy listening station, featuring some of the greatest hits from the 50s, 60s, and 70s from artists like The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, and Simon and Garfunkel. There's even some modern music mixed in, including songs by Michael Buble and Dire Straits.

Local radio legend Bill Stephens hosts the morning show on Koffee, and you'll find the station at 100.5, 101.5, and 103.5, depending on your location.

WKPE Cape Country 104

As the only country station on Cape Cod, Cape Country 104 has to cover a lot of ground. This station handles this responsibility quite well, playing classic by artists like George Jones and Hank Williams, in addition to newer acts like Keith Urban, Blake Shelton, and Carrie Underwood.

The station, which you'll find at 103.9, also has a popular morning show, That Girl in the Morning, hosted by Cat Wilson, where you can enter giveaways for concert tickets at nearby venues.

WQRC 99.9 - THE Q

For a little bit of everything, 99.9 - The Q is worth checking out on your morning commute. This station has something for everyone, including classic rock, although it mostly focuses on today's hit music.

There's a morning show on The Q called Feel Good Mornings with Rebecca Romo, which shares positive news from around the Cape and features a nice mix of songs, including back-to-back 80s songs at 8:00 AM.

WFCC Classical 107.5

Classical 107.5, Cape Cod's classical music station, offers something a little different from the rest. Here, you'll find songs by some of the greatest composers of all time, including Mozart, Bach, Handel, and Beethoven. This station is the perfect option if you want some background music during your commute but don't want to focus on anything.

You won't find a traditional morning show on Classical 107.5, although the station plays a block of Mozart music every weekday at 9:00 AM, that's sure to give you a good start if you're into that type of music.

WOCN Ocean 104.7
