Autumn provides a perfect opportunity to enjoy both the beauty and artistry of Cape Cod. From musicians and performers to painters and sculptors, there is a rich harvest of local talent on display here in the month of November.

Photograph of Actors dressed as sailors performing in a playMusic lovers will want to lend their ears to the Cape Symphony’s Masterpiece 2 Vienna to Hollywood to be performed at the Barnstable Performing Arts Center on November 14 & 15. Conductor Jung-Ho Pak will lead his orchestra through Strauss and Korngold compositions that found new life in Hollywood classics such as The Adventures of Robin Hood. Blend your love of film and fine art at Fall Art Film Series Exhibitions on Screen running throughout the month of November at the Chatham Orpheum Theater. This series of films takes you behind the scenes for many of the world’s greatest art exhibitions including the Rembrandt Exhibition at the National Gallery in London and the treasures of Vincent Van Gogh at Amsterdam’s renowned Van Gogh Museum. All the world’s a stage and that includes Cape Cod. Fans of musical theater can journey to South Pacific at the historic Barnstable Comedy Club from November 5 – November 22. Local players perform the Tony Award winning Rodgers & Hammerstein musical set on an island paradise during WWII. Tickets can be purchased at barnstablecomedyclub.org

Edward Hopper spent 40 summers in the village of Truro painting some of the most memorable Cape Cod landscapes ever put on canvas. Now, today’s artists are showcasing their works inspired by Hopper’s connection with the Cape at the After Hopper Plein Air Museum Exhibition at the Cape Cod Museum of Art. You’ll have the opportunity to create your own art later this month courtesy of Pastiche of Cape Cod on Route 6-A in Barnstable. The interior design specialists are hosting Christmas Wreath Workshops each Saturday from November 21 – November 28. Experts will show you how to build the perfect holiday wreath for your front door.
