Shine Your Ride: Exploring Some of Cape Cod's Most Popular Car Washes

You'll have a lot on your plate after buying a home on Cape Cod, as you'll likely spend some time getting to know the area's roads, restaurants, retailers, beaches, and entertainment options.

However, putting most of your time into these aspects of living on the Cape might cause you to overlook other services you commonly require.

For example, you'll have to figure out where to get your haircut, learn which spas have the services you enjoy, and find a gym offering your preferred classes.

Locating a nearby car wash might also become a priority, particularly as melting snow in late winter and frequent showers in the early spring leave residue on your vehicles.

Here's a look at some of the most popular car washes on Cape Cod.

Cape Cod Auto Spa

For a complete auto detailing experience, it's tough to beat the Cape Cod Auto Spa. This facility in Pocasset sits just off Route 28, a few minutes from the Bourne Bridge, making it a convenient location for anyone living near Buzzard Bay or the Cape Cod Canal to get a car wash.

The Cape Cod Auto Spa isn't an ordinary car wash, though, as they offer various packages to keep your vehicle looking great.

First, you can get a wash, which includes pre-wash, decontaminate, hand wash, blow-dry, and hand wax services. They also offer polishing, paint sealing, ceramic coating, and paint correction assistance.

Or, if you've been neglecting the interior of your car, you can head to the Cape Cod Auto Spa for a full cleaning or fabric protection service.

If you love to baby your car, the Cape Cod Auto Spa is worth a visit.

Green Ocean Car Wash

Of course, not everyone has a vehicle that requires a full day at the spa, so you'll be happy to know that the Cape is home to numerous traditional car washes, too.

Green Ocean Car Wash is notable because it's a locally owned and operated business that features a solar-powered building and a system that recycles 75% of the water it uses. The result is perhaps Cape Cod's most eco-friendly car wash.

This facility enjoys a convenient location on Route 28 in Falmouth's Teaticket neighborhood and offers four different car wash formats to meet your needs.

All four wash types include a foam bath and a touch-free dry, while the Super Wash also consists of an underbody cleaning, poly sealant, and polish. The Work Wash adds a wheel washing and a rust inhibitor, and the Ultimate Wash offers a hot wax and rain repellent.

One of the great things about Green Ocean Car Wash is that they offer a monthly subscription service where you can get unlimited washes for the entire month. The packages cost between $19.99 and $39.99, depending on the wash type, with each package costing the same as two regularly-priced cleanings. So if you wash your car more than twice per month, these packages pay for themselves.

Balise Car Wash

Balise Hyannis Car Wash sits just south of the Cape Cod Mall. The fact that the facility sits in such a busy area means it gets a lot of business, making it one of the Cape's most popular car washes.

There are three car wash types at Balise Hyannis Car Wash: the Deluxe features a double presoak, bug removal, exterior soft cloth wash, high-pressure rinse, and touch-free dry, while the Supreme adds an underbody wash, foam conditioner, clear coat protectant, and wheel wash. The Ultimate includes a triple foam conditioner, a tire shine, and a premium foam glaze.

There are free vacuums for those who pay for a car wash, and the facility offers unlimited monthly subscription services for $29.95, $39.95, or $49.95, depending on the option you choose.

You can also make an appointment for complete interior and exterior detailing services at Balise Car Wash.

Olde Cape Carwash

The Olde Cape Carwash is a family-owned and operated business that sits just outside of downtown Orleans near the Cranberry Highway. Although this facility is small, as it has just one drive-thru car wash and one self-serve bay, it's popular because of the level of service it provides.

There are three car wash types at the Olde Cape Carwash, including the Express, a basic wash and dry, the Deluxe, which adds an undercarriage and wheel cleaning, and the Works, which includes a protectant and a rust inhibitor. You can sign up for unlimited washes for $22, $29, or $35 per month, depending on your desired option.

The self-serve bay allows you to take your time cleaning your own vehicle and has tools like a tire brush, foam brush, pressure washer, de-salt feature, and vacuums.

There's an auto detailing shop on-site at the Olde Cape Carwash, too, where you can get a polishing and interior detailing by appointment.

Sandwich Car Wash

The Sandwich Car Wash is located in an industrial park on Forestdale Road, not far from the Coca-Cola bottling plant. Although this facility sits in an obscure location, it's one of the Cape's most popular full-service car washes for many reasons.

First, there are the venue's traditional car washes, including the Regular, the Deluxe, the Works, and the Ultimate. The Regular is a basic wash, the Deluxe includes an undercarriage wash and triple foam, the Works adds a tire and wheel wash, and the Ultimate offers a wax, foam bath, and waterfall rinse.

There are unlimited monthly passes available for between $21.95 and $51.95, depending on the option you choose.

The car wash isn't the only thing offered at the Sandwich Car Wash, though, as they have a professional auto detailing service. Through this service, you can get a complete interior and exterior detail, paint corrections, shampooing, and even express detailing. These services are available by appointment only.

Your Cape Cod Car Wash

Since you'll be so busy setting up your new home on Cape Cod and figuring out how to get around, you might neglect your car a little bit.

Fortunately, these venues make it easy to get a quick wash and ensure that your ride looks as good as new as you cruise around the Cape in search of fun.
